We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Manufacturing Manager to oversee and optimize the manufacturing process in our facility. This individual will lead a team of production staff, ensure efficient use of resources, maintain quality standards, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. The Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for maximizing production efficiency, reducing waste, and improving product quality, all while meeting or exceeding production targets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Oversee Manufacturing Operations: Manage daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production schedules are met while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of production staff: machinists, operators, welders, and technicians. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Production Planning & Scheduling: Leading projects from design/quote to completion. Develop and manage production plans, ensuring on-time delivery of products. Adjust schedules and resources as needed to accommodate changes in demand. Evaluate inventory issues relating to item usage, substitutions, special projects, stockouts, rollouts, and ROP/MAX planning.
Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to ensure that products meet both company and regulatory standards. Investigate quality issues and lead corrective actions.
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives through lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other industry best practices to improve productivity, efficiency, and cost reduction.
Resource Management: Manage production resources (e.g., materials, machinery, labor) to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations. Work closely with supply chain and procurement to ensure raw materials are available.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations and environmental standards. Implement and monitor safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Budget & Cost Management: Develop and manage budgets for the manufacturing department, controlling costs and identifying opportunities for cost savings while maintaining production quality.
Reporting & Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production efficiency, downtime, and quality metrics. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management.
Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Address and resolve operational issues such as machine breakdowns, staffing challenges, or production bottlenecks.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field (preferred)
5 years’ experience in a manufacturing management role, with a proven track record of leading teams and managing production operations.
SKILLS
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety standards. CNC/Manual machining, welding, and assembly
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Proficiency with production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS
Lean Six Sigma certification a plus
OSHA Supervisor Certification a plus
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that may involve standing, walking, and lifting.
Occasional travel may be required.
