Job Summary
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver prompt, courteous customer service through multiple software applications (email, chat, phone) and technology platforms to provide front line support to clients and clinicians.
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits utilizing all available verification and eligibility tools and contact payers as needed.
- Collect patient data involving medical, demographic, and insurance information, following HIPAA guidelines, and accurately enter insurance information into practice management systems.
- Use discovery, critical thinking, and problem-solving processes to troubleshoot issues and generate solutions.
- Communicate cost estimates and insurance benefits to clients and clinicians utilizing email, phone, and EMR system.
- Complete insurance benefits verification in a timely manner, update demographic and insurance information and alert staff to changes, obtain authorizations, and ensure appropriate coverage and benefits.
- Advocate for clients’ issues, inquiries, concerns, needs, and suggestions while maintaining ownership of the case and follow-through to completion.
- Thorough documentation of all client interactions within our ticketing and contact center software platforms.
You may also be cross-trained with the other Insurance Operations department, Provider Enrollment.
- Assisting with insurance enrollment of newly hired therapists
- Assisting with CAQH profile updates
- Tracking and contacting therapists regarding upcoming expirations of license, professional insurance, etc.
- Reviewing insurance enrollment statuses
- Responding to email inquiries
- Updating individual and group profiles with insurance companies
- Adding providers to multiple insurance enrollment platforms
- Other duties as assigned.
What will you need to be successful in this role?
- Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to articulate information clearly and concisely (required).
- A writing sample will be required.
- High level of professionalism when interacting with other team members, clinicians and patients. (required).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing clinician and patient needs or concerns.
- Ability to prioritize and organize tasks with solid time management skills.
- Willingness to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience with CRM Software (e.g., Salesforce) and other relevant tools is a plus.
- Previous experience working in the mental health space directly with clinicians (preferred)
- Previous billing and/or verifications experience (preferred)

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
