Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Peer Coach to join our team. Duties
- Provide one-on-one support to clients, helping them set and achieve personal goals related to their recovery.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage clients in their journey towards wellness.
- Facilitate group sessions that promote sharing experiences, coping strategies, and mutual support among peers.
- Assist clients in navigating community resources and services, including mental health counseling and addiction support.
- Implement crisis management and intervention strategies when necessary to ensure client safety.
- Mentor clients by sharing personal experiences and insights that foster resilience and hope.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, progress, and any relevant incidents according to organizational policies.
Requirements
- Experience or education in behavioral health, social work, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong skills in motivational interviewing and crisis management are highly desirable.
- Previous experience in mentoring or providing peer support is advantageous.
- Knowledge of mental health counseling principles and addiction counseling practices is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions.
- Must possess a genuine desire to help others improve their lives through recovery-focused practices.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.90 - $18.76 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
