Summary
We are looking for skilled Maintenance Technicians to repair and maintain tools and other equipment associated with installations; perform required routine preventative and predictive maintenance and other related work at our Water Resource Recovery Facility.Job Responsibilities
- Maintain electrical distribution, pumping, mechanical and chemical equipment
- Rebuild and dismantle pumps
- Complete repairs of heavy equipment and machinery
- Perform alignments of equipment
- Complete valve repairs
- Perform routine preventative maintenance
- Perform rigging, welding, cutting, machinery alignment
- Complete predictive and preventative maintenance
- Perform machinery alignment with pumps and motors
- Perform plumbing and pipefitting
- Regularly inspect the working condition and maintain the cleanliness of equipment and surrounding areas
- Replace and repair major equipment and tools
- Collect and analyze process and performance data used to diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance of water equipment
- Print reading
- Perform tests and report results.
- Maintain various records and prepare reports
- Prepare specifications for new equipment
- Follow security and safety policies and procedures in carrying out work duties
- Provide on-the-job training
- Perform work-related duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience
- High School or GED
- One (1) year of general laboring, treatment plant operations, mechanical maintenance, and repair, facilities maintenance or electrical repair work, or equivalent training in a related field
- Advance to Level 2 and obtain a Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator D Certification within three (3) years of Level 1 designation
Other Requirements
· Valid Michigan Driver’s License
- Valid CDL-A (Preferred)
- This position is subject to random drug and alcohol testing
- Perform shift work which includes all day, afternoon, night, weekend, and holiday assignments
- Must have the ability to work outside in inclement weather
Essential Physical Requirements
