Great Lakes Wealth is a small, but fast-paced, and fast-growing wealth advisory firm offering financial planning and asset management services to high net worth individuals. We work with a select group of clients and have an over-arching objective to help manage and preserve our client’s wealth. Our mission is to provide Wall Street solutions with Main Street values to our clients and the communities we serve.
We are looking for an experienced, organized, & efficient person with a marketing background, preferably in financial services, to fill the position of Marketing and Social Media Associate.
JOB SUMMARY
This position will direct communications that effectively describe and promote Great Lakes Wealth and the products and services we offer. This employee will work with GLW's management team in spearheading the marketing pursuits of the firm. With a focus on firm branding, financial planning, & asset management messaging, this position will be responsible for development, implementation, measurement of marketing and communication efforts including: digital marketing, social media, online growth & optimization, website management, broadcast communications, and firm-sponsored events. This position is ideal for a well-organized, detail-oriented person who thoroughly understands website design, social media, digital marketing, and working with technology in a client facing capacity. You must be able to work independently, under pressure, possess analytical and problem-solving skills, and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced work environment.
EDUCATIONAL/ SKILL SET & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Associates and/or Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, business administration or related field
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in marketing communications, public relations, community relations, or advertising, in financial services a plus
- Experience managing and executing across several communications platforms
- Extensive successful writing and editing experience with a variety of print and online communications media
- Demonstrated experience and leadership in managing comprehensive strategic communications, media relations, and marketing programs to advance the missions and goals of the company
- Creative and thoughtful on how new media technologies can be utilized
- Self-starter, willing to execute day-to-day tasks and work independently
- Experience with WordPress, HTML, and/or website management
- Experience with Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter. Marketing Pro a plus.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office, Adobe, Power Point and/or Google Slides
- Experience with SEO, SEM, Google AdWords & Google My Business
- Ability to prioritize and follow through effectively
PRIMARY DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES (others may be assigned).
- Working with Senior Management to determine communications strategy and execute programs to deliver communications successfully
- Develop branding initiatives, communications, and social media strategy
- Improve all current digital marketing initiatives including social, email, SEO, and paid advertising
- Optimize existing channels of digital marketing as well as recommend and implement new strategies
- Research and plan marketing initiatives across several digital channels focusing on company growth strategies and target markets
- Manage and optimize our online presence on the website, social media, YouTube, etc.
- Responsible for strategic direction and execution of all internal and external communications
- Oversee our website, including developing and maintaining content
- Will be able to create new, or leverage existing digital content and/or assets from our existing media library
- Develop and maintain a "leads" list, including digital (social media based) opportunities
- Use website pixels to segment audiences and create re-targeting campaigns
- Create and/or update collateral materials promoting the company’s services
- Work with vendors to outsource projects and print jobs when necessary.
- Coordinate with outside vendors for special event, client appreciation, and employee programs
- Constantly explore, recommend, use and optimize communication methods, vehicles and technologies to engage with various audiences, particularly as part of fully integrated demand generation campaigns.
