Position Overview:
The Inside Sales Representative for our wholesale company is responsible for expanding growth of our existing accounts and starting strategic conversations with new clients. Inside sales will regularly contact customers and prospects to introduce new products, inventory, and promotions. This individual must be a team player and able to work with product and services personnel. Having experience with wholesale distribution, tools and discounters is also a plus!
Key Responsibilities:
· Make outbound calls to generate new business leads.
· Take inbound calls for customer service and sales related items.
· Identify sales opportunities; speak with current and potential customers.
· Understand customers’ needs and promote products.
· Build trust through phone calls, virtual meetings, and email correspondence.
· Foster repeat business through relationship management.
· Travel to customer meetings if the opportunity for sales arises.
· All other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
· Preferred bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
· Minimum of 1-2 years of sales experience, preferably in wholesale trade and/or tool distribution or in closeout merchandise.
· Proven commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
· Hungry for new business.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
· Reliable and dependable.
· Demonstrate versatility in selling to direct and external customers.
· Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. Previous Sage experience helpful.
· Lift up to 50 pounds.
· Have a driver's license.
· On-site, in office position.
· Some travel involved to see customers.
Working Conditions:
This position is primarily office-based, with some travel to meet clients or participate in local and out-of-state trade shows. The role requires standard business hours, with some flexibility based on client needs and business demands.
Compensation:
We offer a competitive salary, with commission-based incentives, comprehensive health benefits, and opportunities for professional development and career advancement. The salary for this position, ranging between $55,000 and $65,000 annually, is determined based on the candidate's level of experience.
