We have an immediate opening with an established part time case load for the right therapist who is interested in providing contract services. Recent rate increase!

Behavior Support Consultant's : Provide an assessment of an individual's behavior needs through collaboration with all those that support them and through engagement with the individual themselves. This includes an assessment of contributing factors that may influence the person's behaviors such as : genetic and / or syndromal predispositions, developmental and psychological compromises, traumatic events, co-occurring intellectual and / or developmental disabilities and mental illness, communicative intentions, coping strategies, and environmental issues.

Develop a support plan that guides the supports and the individual and the people working with him / her to have an increased understanding of the challenging behaviors and strategies to lessen the negative impact of contributing factors to enhance the person's autonomy and self-determination.

Enhance IDT (Interdisciplinary Team) competency to predict, prevent, intervene with and potentially reduce behaviors that interfere with the quality of life and pursuit of ISP (Individual Service Plan) goals, including recommendations regarding needed adaptions to environments in which the person participates. This includes providing regular consultation to the team, support staff and the person regarding ongoing behavioral needs.

Provide data tracking forms and review these forms regularly to observe trends in behavior. Provide regular updates, either semiannually or quarterly (depending upon waiver type) of the person's progress.

Conduct trainings with all support staff on the individual's support plan(s) at each revision of the plan(s), annually, as requested by a provider agency and / or as needed to ensure plan(s) are being understood and implemented.

Teach replacement behaviors, social and functional skills and coping mechanisms to individuals. Create reinforcement schedules to maintain progress.

Document service delivery through record keeping and clinical documentation.

Education / Experience

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or related field
