What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Special Education Teaching Assistant (SRS) position at Great Neck Public Schools?
Position: Part-time Special Education Teaching Assistant
Location: Saddle Rock Elementary School
Hours: M - F, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm, 6 hours/day
Effective: Immediately – End of School Year
Ten-month position, subject to annual reappointment
Duties: Support teachers and assist special education students. Provide intervention services directly to individual students and in small group settings.
Requirements: Applicant MUST be NYS teacher or teaching assistant certified. Minimum of 60 college credits is preferred. ABA experience and experience working with students with autism is highly preferred.
Rate: New applicants: $25.06/hr
Current employees: In accordance with paraprofessional agreement
