Great North Aleworks is an award-winning production craft brewery in Manchester, New Hampshire. We are one of the largest craft brewers in the state, with a 3-vessel 20-barrel DME brewhouse, World Packaging rotary canning line, comprehensive quality program, 1,500 square foot drive in cooler, and large tasting room with outdoor patio.

About the position:
As a Packaging Technician you will be responsible for the proper operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and cleanliness of all canning and kegging equipment. The Packaging Technician will work closely with other production staff and report directly to the Packaging Manager. While responsibilities will focus on packaging, opportunities exist for cross training in other areas, including but not limited to cellar tasks, centrifuge operation and warehousing.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate all machinery associated with packaging product by following standard operating and safety procedures
- Continuously monitor quality of product during packaging run
- Startup and shutdown of utilities and equipment
- Maintain proper packaging records and logs
- Maintain canning/kegging equipment and hardware in functioning order
- Coordinate with management and Quality Assurance, inspect packaged product to ensure it is to spec and ready for distribution
- Ensure packaging area, equipment and materials are kept clean and organized
- Assist with packaging supply and finished goods inventory counts and management
- Seek ways to improve the efficiency and safety of the canning process
- Communicate with brewery/cellar personnel about condition of tanks and beer specs prior to packaging
Successful candidates will have the following qualities:

- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Self-motivated with a keen attention to detail
- Willingness to assist with tasks outside key responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with team and customers
- Flexibility to work in a rapidly changing environment
- Prior experience operating a forklift and safety certification is preferred
Requirements:
- Previous experience in brewing or other manufacturing environments preferred
- Proper use of PPE
