Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting techniques and a strong understanding of construction processes. This role involves working on both commercial and residential projects, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as needed.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Perform drywall repair and plastering tasks to ensure smooth surfaces before painting.
- Execute caulking and sealing of joints and edges to enhance durability and appearance.
- Read and interpret schematics and project plans to determine the scope of work required.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining quality standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Estimate materials needed for each project accurately to minimize waste.
- Work safely and comply with all OSHA and company guidelines
- Coordinate/communicate with other trades for the purpose of completing projects efficiently
- Work while wearing required personal protective equipment
- Safely operate equipment using a variety of standardized methods
- Adapt to changing working conditions
- Perform heavy physical labor and manual dexterity, including bending, crawling, kneeling, stooping, climbing, twisting, reaching, carrying, and lifting heavy objects weighing up to 75lbs
- Work as a self-motivated team player
Requirements
- Proven experience in interior and exterior painting.
- Familiarity with commercial and residential painting techniques and industrial painting processes is preferred.
- Proficiency in caulking techniques and the ability to read schematics effectively.
- Strong basic math skills for estimating materials and measuring areas accurately.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
