What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guest Experiences Attendant III - Glenwood Gardens position at Great Parks of Hamilton County?
This position will potentially be working in the visitor center, outdoors in the welcome booth, or in the formal or children’s gardens. The park is a way to gain work experience in different settings such as one on one, as a team, and independently. A successful Guest Experience Associate will greet and assist guests with information about the park, and purchases in the gift shop. Position frequently includes cash handling and reservation responsibilities. Standard practice allows employees to proceed alone on regular duties with questionable situations referred to supervisor.
This part time position works various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Maintains confidentiality of confidential and sensitive information.
- Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and punctual attendance, and works outside of normal schedule as required.
- Greets and serves guests to ensure satisfaction.
- Handles guest inquires and assists guests at entrance welcome booths, sells and monitors compliance of motor vehicle permits.
- Performs gardening tasks and various grounds maintenance.
- Operates a variety of ground maintenance equipment and hand tools.
- Opens facilities and prepares for daily business.
- Closes and secures facilities at the end of the business day.
- Operates point-of-sale system, reservation system, cash box and cash register.
- Transports change orders, merchandise, food, mail, and supplies.
- Organizes, fills orders, and inventory records.
- Takes inventory of merchandise and records results
- Assists with set-up and operation of special events.
- Maintains clean and sanitary conditions.
- Sells food and merchandise, maintains merchandise displays, rents equipment, makes reservations and operates motorized equipment.
- Drives Great Parks vehicle. Essential duties may require the employee to drive their personal vehicle within the park to transport supplies, materials, or a cash box to the worksite.
- Maintains cleanliness of guest and employee areas including restrooms.
- May include other housekeeping duties.
- Assists Park guests with various indoor or outdoor activities
- Performs various maintenance to gardens, landscape beds, and natural areas.
- Cataloging, ongoing research, and sharing knowledge of plants and gardening techniques
QUALIFICATIONS
- Great customer service experience preferred.
- Written and verbal communication, basic math skills and basic computer skills.
- May be required to complete safe food service training on an annual basis.
- Gardening experience preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to document identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of original appointment as a condition of employment in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act requirements.
LICENSE & CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- State Motor Vehicle Operator’s License that meets GPHC current carrier guidelines.
