We specialize in working with high-net-worth retirees and business owners going through an exit or internal succession. Financial life planning is at the core of our approach as we provide comprehensive financial planning, investment management, business consulting, and tax planning. We walk with clients throughout life and serve as clients’ thinking partner and advocate. We work on a retainer basis.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an Associate Financial Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate is a CFP® candidate or certificant with 2-4 years of experience in financial planning in client-facing roles, a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a small team environment. This individual must possess the emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills to work with clients across multiple generations; they must be able to practice active listening, and approach client care with compassion and patience as well as technical excellence. They must be able to work collaboratively in client meetings and integrate into the firm culture and methodology. Local candidates are preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Client Support: Provide direct support to financial advisors in preparing for client meetings, including gathering and analyzing financial data, preparing financial plans, and generating reports.
- Financial Plan Development: Collaborate with advisors to develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, covering areas such as retirement planning, investment management, estate planning, tax planning, and education planning.
- Investment Management Support: Assist in investment research, portfolio analysis, and performance reporting. Contribute to the development of investment strategies. Learn to rebalance and trade client portfolios in accordance with their investment plan.
- Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, answering questions, providing updates, and building strong relationships.
- Meeting Preparation and Participation: Prepare materials for client meetings, including agendas, presentations, and financial reports. Attend client meetings, take notes, and follow up with tasks. Begin training to co-lead meetings with Lead Financial Planner/Principal.
- Compliance: Adhere to all regulatory requirements and firm policies related to financial planning and investment management.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure seamless client service and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
- Professional Development: Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices through continuing education and professional development activities.
- Education: Bachelor's degree, Master’s degree preferred
- Certifications: Must have successfully passed the CFP® exam
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in financial planning or a related field, preferably working with high-net-worth clients.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial planning software (e.g., MoneyGuidePro, eMoney Advisor), CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Wealthbox), and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
