We are seeking a motivated Porter with dish-washing and prep cook experience. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, is well-organized, pays close attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Rate: $22.00/hour
Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 2:30 PM

We are seeking a motivated Porter with dish-washing and prep cook experience. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, is well-organized, pays close attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform general prep duties as directed by the chef.
- Receive, inspect, and properly store deliveries according to instructions from the chef or manager.
- Maintain cleanliness in all kitchen areas throughout the shift.
- Assist with various deep cleaning and maintenance tasks as needed.
- Organize and maintain service ware in an orderly manner.
- Adhere to NYC Department of Health regulations.
- Follow proper food safety protocols and sanitation standards.
- Keep a clean, organized, and efficient workstation.
- 1 to 2 years of experience as a porter and/or dishwasher in a café, restaurant, or food service environment.
- Strong work ethic with excellent organization, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
- Demonstrates respect for fellow employees, managers, and vendors.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs, reach, bend, and stand for the duration of an 8-hour shift.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a culinary or restaurant setting.
- Maintains a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Presents a clean and professional appearance.
- New York City Food Handler's Certificate is a plus.
- Proficiency in knife skills for food preparation.
- Knowledge of kitchen safety protocols.
- Understanding of safe food handling procedures.
- Familiarity with various kitchen tools and equipment.
- Strong adherence to sanitary practices and hygiene standards.
