We provide food services in an array of celebrated New York City cultural institutions including Jazz at Lincoln Center, Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Wave Hill, and The Apollo Theater. We are known for full-service catering and events, corporate workplace dining and amenity programs, and large-scale event and festival production. Great Performances is the nation’s first caterer to own and operate an organic farm, Katchkie Farm located in Kinderhook, NY. Responsibilities
- Dish washing, pot & pan washing, kitchen equipment cleaning
- Maintain the cleanliness of all kitchen areas throughout the shift
- Various deep cleaning and maintenance projects
- Maintaining service ware in a well organized manner
- Follow NYC Department of Health regulations
- Support kitchen staff as needed
- 1 to 2 years porter and/or dishwasher experience in a café, restaurant or food service business
- Strong work ethic, well organized, focused, attentive to detail with a sense of urgency
- Dependable and punctual
- Enthusiastic, team player with a positive attitude
- Able to communicate effectively with team members
- Respectful of fellow employees, managers and vendors
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs, reach bend and stand throughout an 8 hour shift

Salary : $17 - $19
