Great Performances is the nation’s first caterer to own and operate an organic farm, Katchkie Farm located in Kinderhook, NY. The Receiver is responsible for efficiently and accurately receiving and inspecting incoming shipments of meat, fish, produce, dry goods, and operating supplies. This role is crucial in maintaining inventory, accuracy, ensuring product quality, and supporting the overall operations of Great Performances. The Receiver must possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving product - Visually inspecting fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, and other food products to ensure the highest standard of quality.
• Packing and unpacking items; stocking items on shelves, stockrooms or storage yards.
• Stocking kitchen/purchasing items and any related materials on a consistent basis.
• Cleaning and maintaining storage area in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Providing assistance within the commissary kitchen or related areas.

Qualifications:

• Able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
• Must be able to endure physical demands such as the ability to lift at least 50 lbs., move heavy food products, reach, and bend.
• Must be familiar with The Board of Health requirements for the proper inspection and storage of products.
• Previous experience in stock/receiving is a plus.

Location: Bronx, New York

Schedule: Must be able to work any hours and any days

Base salary: $19.00 per/hour
