About the Position
The Sr. Manager, Workforce Analytics position is a leader in the Insights & Innovation business unit and will be responsible for designing research methodologies, analyzing data from employee surveys, conducting executive interviews and focus groups, and synthesizing this information into impactful recommendations and insights. They will partner with the Global Advisory Services team to develop high-quality insights and recommendations for clients. The Sr. Manager will collaborate with clients, at the senior-executive level, to gather and leverage data, and deliver actionable insights for business decisions. This position reports to the VP, Insights & Innovation.
The ideal candidate has expertise in people analytics or organizational development, enhancing the Global Advisory Services value to clients. Developing frameworks for analyzing client data and creating solutions, ensuring consistent results. With a background in management consulting, the Sr. Manager will be involved in multiple client projects and executive cohorts, demonstrating executive presence and adaptability. The Sr. Manager will be expected to operationalize strategy, create plans, manage timelines and resources, direct project teams to achieve the strategy, align research activities with organizational goals, and provide strategic insights for executive decision-making. This role requires a passion for empirical research and advanced analytics, delivering clear and inspirational insights to executive leaders.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for presenting and explaining complex findings to senior leadership and clients and facilitating executive-level discussions. This role will be a mentor and lead project teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables, effectively communicate with clients to define requirements and develop solutions, model our Great Place To Work Values as well as will develop and thrive around the “10 Ways to Build Your Success” at Great Place To Work.
Key Responsibilities
Insights Generation & Data Analysis
Create actionable insights by surfacing and synthesizing findings and patterns from a variety of data sources.
Develop consistent frameworks and structures that can be used to analyze our client’s data, create insights and solutions that drive results for clients.
Effectively leverage empirical research and advanced analytic techniques to provide clear, exciting, directive, and inspirational insights for clients’ executive leaders.?
Synthesize complex research findings and communicate practical implications to non-technical, executive-level audiences through exceptional verbal, written and data visualization communication skills.?
Maintain the integrity of Great Place To Work® data, research and points of view while continuously looking for ways to strengthen our position as the world’s expert on workplace culture.
Develop and operationalize innovative and new ways of thinking that align with the Great Place To Work brand and positively impact our client’s strategies and outcomes and team efficiency and effectiveness
Lead and support the development of analytic products, reports, and tools that enhance the consulting practice's scalability and excellence.
Project Leadership
Effectively design and lead high-impact research initiatives and workstreams – seen and experienced as a influential subject matter expert on consulting projects
Manage multiple client projects through the lens of a strategic consulting mindset.
Effectively design and lead research efforts and data collection from multiple sources including employee surveys, executive interviews, focus groups, etc. with a demonstrated ability to synthesize these into impactful and unique recommendations and insights.
Skillfully design project scope and planning, manage timelines, direct teams, and deliver results.
Collaboratively lead client facing research initiatives including scope design, project planning, timeline and hour management, team direction, mentoring, quality control, and deliverable creation.
Develop and effectively manage the performance of project teams and contribute to the development of impactful insights, high quality, client-ready material quickly.
Strategic Client Engagement
Through effective verbal and written communication skills, explain complex research findings and recommendations to both client and Great Place To Work’s executive and senior leaders in a simple, practical, and inspiring manner.
Demonstrate executive presence and a flexible, adaptable approach to various scenarios.
Speak as a panelist or facilitate executive roundtable discussions - synthesize and report out on roundtable discussion insights in real time.
Communicate with internal and external clients to define business requirements, quickly develop and iterate solutions and manage a project team to meet them.
Collaborate with senior client executives to understand needs, and how Great Place To Work data and analysis can address those needs by bringing meaningful value.
Required Qualifications
7-10 years of experience with quantitative and qualitative research, including literature reviews, market analysis, statistical techniques, and employee survey analysis.
Master's degree or seven (7) years of professional experience as a management consultant, in an executive HR role, in people analytics, applied research, or related field.
Strong consulting experience; Management consulting background with project leadership experience - domain expertise or experience (e.g., organizational development, talent management, people analytics, or another relevant field) that enhances our consultancy
Demonstrated success with consulting delivery engagements which included the use of data and research to create exceptional insights.
Experienced in providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Demonstrated experience leading analytic initiatives, including designing scope, managing hours and timelines, directing project team members, and creating deliverables.
Proven ability to synthesize complex research findings and communicate practical implications to non-technical, executive-level audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in leading an HR analytics team.
Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization, facilitate collaboration, work effectively in a team environment, influence and inspire others
Demonstrated curiosity about workplace, business, and industry trends and experience across a wide range of industries and current HR business challenges will be an asset.
Team player who can effectively toggle between leader and follower, owner, and contributor, and between mainstage and backstage roles as required to achieve desired outcomes.
Experience in leveraging AI to develop data insights and recommendations.
Aptitude and interest in the creative ambiguity that goes with designing and building a new practice within an existing organization.
Ability to spot opportunities to partner with clients and create a story to inspire executive leadership.

The pay range for this position in Colorado, New York, Washington, and California is $109,000 to $156,700, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.
