Summary: GPB is looking for a professional, enthusiastic, and experienced leader to fill the role of Branch Manager. This role will be responsible for managing all functions, daily operations and staffing of a full-service branch. Branch Manager is a critical role with varied responsibilities. The role manages HR activities including scheduling, hiring, coaching, performance evaluations, and pay decisions. As Branch Manager, one would mentor and support employees while also holding them accountable to service and sales goals. This role will develop and manage a branch business plan aimed at specific goals. One would direct—and actively participate in—strategies and tactics including outbound calls, in-branch selling, telemarketing, branch campaigns, and targeted direct mailing. The Branch Manager will evaluate areas of need to deepen customer relationships. Branch staff will look to this role for mentorship and coaching as they train subordinate staff in sales, services, operations, products, policies, procedures, and customer service. The Branch Manager also ensure the branch meets all regulatory compliance standards.
The Branch Manager is a leveled position, beginning with Level 1 and advancing to Level 4. Level 4 is reserved for the most experienced managers and includes larger global bank responsibilities. Levels 3 and 4 are eligible for the officer titles depending on many factors including but not limited to tenure, leadership, community involvement, and others. The Branch Manager is eligible to participate in the Team Incentive Plan (TIP).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned)

Be an effective ambassador of Great Plains Bank

Build and maintain customer relationships to help identify products and services.

Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.

Issues written and oral instructions, adjusts errors and customer complaints.

Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.

Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.

Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.

Prepares composite reports from individual reports of subordinates.

Performs or assists subordinates in performing duties.

Perform backup duties of subordinates when no other backup is available.

Various balancing and reporting duties.

Coordinate with Market President, Branch Operations Coordinator, and Operations Department Managers to ensure all goals are met.

Ensure all employees are aware of changes to policy/procedure, fraud alerts, etc.

Train subordinate employees as needed.

Attend training to further education of oneself and subordinates.
Qualifications
Supervisory Responsibilities
May directly supervise up to ten non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience
Associate degree from two-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and/or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from other employees, customers and the general public. Ability to calculate basic math figures and amounts. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office software.
Physical Demands
This position may require long periods of standing or sitting and may include long periods of typing and repetitive motion. Candidates must possess the ability to lift and carry cash drawers, coin bags, and boxes sometimes weighing as much as 25 pounds.
