Summary: The Loan Accounting Associate provides a variety of duties related to the operation of the Credit Administration and Loan Operations Division as needed, compiles and maintains records of business transactions and office activities of establishment by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned)
- Department Functions – processing renewals/extensions, maintenance, analyze loans in operating core
- Check-back of loan boarding, maintenance and uploaded information to verify accuracy
- Computes interest and payments
- Verifies manual input conducted at branch level in order to balance loans
- Review floor plan loans and balance floor plans to keep up with curtailments
- Performs various accounting functions relating to participation sold loans
- Accepts and processes loan payments (including mortgage payments), transfers, and advances
- Process Escrow Insurance payments
- Trains subordinate employees as needed
- Work with and understand loan documentation, credit files, and procedures associated with such.
- Operates computer terminal to input and retrieve data and office machinery such as calculating and duplicating machines
- Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and/or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from other employees, customers and the general public. Ability to calculate basic math figures and amounts. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office software.
Physical Demands
This position may require long periods of standing or sitting and may include long periods of typing and repetitive motion. Candidates must possess the ability to lift and carry cash drawers, coin bags, and boxes sometimes weighing as much as 25 pounds.
