Description
Summary: Position is responsible for maintaining a company’s financial accounts and records and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions. Their role often involves working with the general ledger, historical financial transactions and account reconciliation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned)

Reconcile multiple company accounts utilizing internal and external reports of transactions to determine if outstanding items exists and have cleared in a timely manner.

Analyzing data to ensure transactions were cleared using proper methods.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies and outstanding items by working with various departments within the Bank and outside the Bank.

Report outstanding items not cleared timely or cleared with improper transactions.

Maintain well organized records of reconciliations and provide such to auditors as needed.

Strong analytical skills with ability to apply basic accounting principles.

Work with other departments to help clarify and resolve transaction issues.
Qualifications
Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience
Associates degree from two-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Good working knowledge of Excel.
Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and/or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from other employees and/or auditors. Ability to calculate basic math figures and amounts. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office software.
Physical Demands
This position may require long periods of standing or sitting and may include long periods of typing and repetitive motion. Candidates must possess the ability to lift and carry cash drawers, coin bags, and boxes sometimes weighing as much as 25 pounds.
