DESCRIPTION:
The Mercato is looking for a full-time Prep Cook to join our team. The position will assist with Fired Up Thursday and Fired Up Friday lunch feast, company staff meals, catering orders, and ready-to-eat meals. The Prep Cook will assist in preparing top-notch food using some of the finest ingredients.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for food and an interest in gaining experience in a dynamic kitchen. The preferred applicant would have some experience working as a prep cook or line cook. Experience in butchering steaks and portioning products is a plus.
The Prep Cook will be responsible for washing and chopping vegetables, fruits, and herbs, as well as cutting and preparing seafood, beef, chicken, and other proteins.
Additional duties will include assisting with other food preparation and kitchen tasks as needed. This position primarily offers daytime hours, including weekends. Come be part of our growing team! Assume other duties as assigned.
