SERVICE TECHNICIAN - Great Plains Kubota is family owned and operated and we are passionate about serving our employees and our customers. In addition to our mainline of Kubota equipment, Great Plains services a wide range of other brand-named new and used equipment. Applicants should possess proven mechanical experience --Ag, farm and ranch experience is preferred and favored. General Requirements:
Two or more years’ experience in repair troubleshooting with a track record of success, preferably in one or several of the following: agricultural equipment, motor vehicle industry, outdoor power equipment, recreational vehicles, construction equipment and machinery, small engine and accessories.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable.
- Must be willing to work a normal 40 hours per week, and longer hours as required to meet customer demands.
- Must be capable lifting and handling heavy loads up to 70 lbs., and to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Must have good organizational, multitasking, and reasonable computer skills.
- Experience in diagnosing and repair of diesel engines and emissions systems
- Familiarity of agriculture or heavy equipment hydraulic systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical components
- Knowledge of transmission systems specific to heavy and agriculture equipment
- Proficiency in using computer diagnostic software
- Proficiency in using a multimeter for diagnostics
Target Responsibilities:
- Establish and remain the main contact with all service customers.
- Insure that all service work is entered, scheduled, and accurately completed in the quickest possible time frame.
- Present a friendly, positive attitude to all customers.
- Process and handle all work orders and warranty claims from start to finish.
Daily Duties and Responsibilities:
- Begin each workday with a positive attitude
- Work to develop a sense of “team” in the service department and across other departments.
- Review work orders for complete and accurate information. Determine work requirements and priorities.
- Ensure work orders are completed in a timely manner with all supporting documentation and complete details on the work order.
- Prepare technician’s status reports, basic reports, and time/activity logs.
- Maintain quality control on work performed during shift, monitor time standards, bring variances to the attention of management, and make corrections/updates as directed.
- Provide general diagnoses of repair and maintenance equipment problems for the customer and communicate this information to the technician.
- Track and coordinate warranty work.
- Conduct customer survey follow-ups, and report results to management on a monthly basis.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including job duties which are not expressed in this job description.
