Small Engine Technician

Great Plains Kubota is seeking a dedicated and skilled Small Engine Technician to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and advanced maintenance on small engines, lawnmowers, and ATVs.
• Diagnose and repair light and heavy issues on mowing machines, ATVs, and handheld equipment such as chainsaws and string trimmers.
• Conduct warranty repairs efficiently and in compliance with manufacturer guidelines.
• Assemble and inspect new equipment for delivery readiness (PDI).
• Complete manufacturer and online training programs to stay current with industry standards and technology.
• Read and interpret schematics, service manuals, and technical bulletins.
• Use computer systems to access technical information, order parts, and complete service reports.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Write detailed and accurate service reports documenting diagnoses, repairs, and maintenance performed.
• Follow all safety and operational protocols to ensure a secure workplace.
• Communicate effectively with the service team and customers regarding repair timelines and updates.

Qualifications :

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred.
• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in small engine or related mechanical repair work preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and understand technical schematics and reference materials.
• Proficient with computers and software used for diagnostics and reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in repairs and documentation.
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to undergo and complete manufacturer-sponsored training programs.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
• Perform work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
