Great Plains Ag Territory Manager – Northern Indiana, Michigan
Great Plains Manufacturing is seeking an Ag Territory Manager to join our growing team to work with dealers in the Northern half of Indiana and all of Michigan to promote and sell Great Plains Agricultural equipment and products.
This territory is comprised of 22 dealer locations in Indiana and Michigan. Many of these dealers may have a “major” line like Case IH, New Holland, Kubota or AGCO, and some are “short line” standalone dealers. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual with a background in agricultural sales who is open to traveling at least 70% of the time.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities

Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Collaborate with dealer sales teams to conduct retail customer visits, showcasing and promoting Great Plains products to drive sales.
- Implement comprehensive sales training programs for dealership personnel to enhance product knowledge and selling techniques.
- Actively participate in grower meetings, product demonstrations, field days, and open houses to strengthen relationships and showcase product benefits.
- Leverage company ordering systems to maintain optimal dealer inventory levels aligned with seasonal demand and sales forecasts.
- Strategically develop the territory by driving revenue growth through tailored dealer business plans, identifying opportunities for expansion, replacing inactive dealers, and recruiting new partners.
- Facilitate product sales and order processing to ensure dealers have adequate inventory before and during peak selling seasons.
- Proactively follow up with dealers and growers to resolve service issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Attend annual sales meetings and trade shows to stay updated on product offerings and pursue personal and professional development opportunities.
- Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.
- Minimum 2 years of business-to-business sales experience, preferably in the agricultural industry
- Must live in the described territory, preferably in Northern Indiana, and have a strong familiarity of the region
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Willingness and ability to travel at least 70% of the time, including both day and overnight travel
- Highly motivated self-starter; ability to work effectively with minimal or no supervision
- Proficient in MS Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or minimum two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
