Great Plains Mfg is currently seeking a Maintenance Lead for our CE facility in Salina, KS.
This position works Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with some on-call duties as required.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Work with other maintenance employees to ensure they are up to date on scheduled preventative maintenance work and that work orders are completed by the due date.
- Assign new work requests as they come in to ensure the right employee is dispatched based on skill and work load.
- Place orders for spare parts as needed and reconcile packing lists with Accounts Payable.
- Supervise employees to ensure compliance with production and quality standards for completing work.
- Utilize Manager Plus software to monitor work orders, input inventory, setup new assets, build and implement maintenance schedules for equipment.
- Interface with other departments to ensure deadlines are met.
- Maintain time records for their team in ADP. Complete performance evaluations for approval by department manager.
- Schedule on-call employees for each weekend and publicizes schedule and contact information to all department managers.
- Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
- Maintain a productive and respectful relationship with employees and coworkers.
- Interpret company policies and enforce safety regulations with team.
- Assist in training new maintenance employees and provide performance feedback to develop their skills.
- Perform maintenance activities along with employees supervised.
- Follow all Great Plains Mfg policies and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.
- Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.
- 2-3 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician
- Supervisor or manager experience helpful, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in using Manager Plus software to monitor work orders, input inventory, setup new assets, build and implement maintenance schedules for equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude; familiarity with manufacturing equipment helpful
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, etc.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment with ever-changing priorities and deadlines
