In this role, you will oversee Production Planning, Scheduling, and Material Control, working closely with manufacturing teams to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective production processes.

This is a salaried position that works Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Fridays from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. This position reports to the Senior Material Control Manager.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Regularly audit manufacturing capacity constraints to identify potential bottlenecks.
- Monitor and adjust the plan as needed to accommodate changing business needs while maintaining production efficiency.
- Partner with the Plant Manager and Purchasing Department to implement solutions that ensure production schedules are consistently met.
- Develop proactive strategies to address capacity challenges, promoting long-term operational success.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate the Master Production Schedule (MPS) across the Manufacturing teams.
- Ensure production schedules align with customer requirements, work order protocols, lot sizes, and lead times.
- Implement process improvements to optimize scheduling efficiency and resource utilization.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure the availability of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods, supporting seamless production flow.
- Oversee the efficient transfer of materials between facilities, minimizing delays and costs.
- Establish and maintain best practices for inventory management, including regular cycle count audits and achieve inventory accuracy goals
- Leverage technology to streamline material management processes.
- Integrate material management functions into ERP software, providing training and ongoing support to system users.
- Identify and implement software enhancements to improve data accuracy, reporting capabilities, and decision-making processes.
- Lead a diverse team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities to support team members’ growth and professional success.
- Promote open communication and cross-functional collaboration to achieve shared plant and company goals.
- Follow all Great Plains policies and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.
- Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Shop Floor Control, and Master Scheduling within a complex manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems.
- Familiarity with common business applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
