Weld Lead Person – 1st shift - Salina, Ks
The Great Plains Division has an opening for a Weld Lead Person on 1st shift at the Salina campus. This position works Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm (overtime on Fridays as required).
Responsibilities:
- Supervises and coordinates Weld Shop operations
- Ensures equipment and materials are used properly, safely and efficiently
- Experience with setup, operation and programming of various welding robots
- Working knowledge of all aspects of industrial MIG welding operations
- Train and follow-up to ensure productivity and quality standards are met
- Experience in Automated Manufacturing helpful
- Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.
- Follow all Great Plains And OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.

- Excel in fast paced, high pressure situations
- Ability to be flexible, work with interruptions and shift priorities as needed
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent Time Management & Manufacturing Organizational Skills
- Drive culture of Lean Manufacturing and implementation of change to streamline processes
- Familiarity with IBMi and Microsoft programs beneficial
