Maintain and enhance the organization’s human resources by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating employee relations, HR policies, programs, and best practices. Provide operational and developmental support in collaboration with the Executive Director of Human Resources.
Policy Development & Compliance
- Payroll Completion
- Accounts Payable (A/P), oversight
- Monitor and implement HR-related legal requirements.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Establish recruitment best practices, interview protocols, and train managers in candidate selection.
- Prepare and conduct engaging New Employee Orientations.
Employee Relations & Development
- Train managers to coach, counsel, and discipline employees effectively.
- Assist supervisors in resolving employee grievances and coach employees and supervisors.
- Review recommendations for terminations and provide guidance on complex employee relations matters.
Performance Management
- Support managers in planning, monitoring, and appraising employee performance.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance supervisory skills.
Benefits & Compensation
- Maintain and recommend updates to employee benefits programs.
- Manage vendor evaluations and contracts for benefits, worker’s compensation, and 401(k) audits.
Training & Compliance Tracking
- Maintain a database to track HR compliance training completions.
Records & Data Management
- Maintain historical HR records in a centralized, compliant repository.
Knowledge Building
- Stay informed of industry trends by reviewing publications, attending workshops, and leveraging HR tools.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Oversee HR-related supervisory tasks, including interviewing, hiring, training, and employee performance appraisals.
- Address complaints, resolve problems, and ensure adherence to organizational policies and laws.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-2 years of relevant industry experience required; HR certification is preferred.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to interpret business periodicals, professional journals, and governmental regulations.
- Skilled in problem-solving and adapting to various workplace scenarios.
Certifications
- HR certification (preferred).
