What are the responsibilities and job description for the IS ANALYST position at Great Plains Regional Medical Center?
The position assists staff at all GPRMC locations with technical support of desktop computers, applications and related technology. An IT Analyst is also responsible for analyzing and supporting information technology systems within an organization. They work closely with other IT professionals to ensure that the technology infrastructure aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth operation.
- Collaborate with IT staff to deploy, configure, and maintain software and hardware.
- Provide technical support and training to users to enhance their proficiency with IT systems.
- Document system configurations, changes, and updates comprehensively.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and best practices.
- Demonstrate experience with workstation support in compliance with government security requirements (HIPAA)
Additional Duties:
- Follow any orders and directives given by the Director of Technology and/or Supervisor.
- Coordinate with the Director of Technology and/or Supervisor to align IT initiatives with strategic goals.
Work Environment: The IT Analyst typically works in an office setting but may also provide on-site support when needed. They must be adaptable and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism. Some travel may be required.

- Strong problem-solving skills and technical proficiency.
- In-depth knowledge of computer systems, networks, and software applications.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to assist users with technical issues.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Network , ITIL) are a plus.
