Position Summary
The Environmental Services Maintenance Tech handles routine, emergency and preventive maintenance repairs for Environmental Services equipment. Perform carpet cleaning, hard surface floor refinishing, and upholstery cleaning utilizing industrial equipment, extractors, and automatic cleaning equipment. Provide a safe and clean environment for Employees, patients, physicians and general public.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
High school Diploma or equivalent required.
Credentials
Current driver's license

Occasionally sit prolonged each day.
Bend, stoop and crouch constantly throughout the day.
Climb occasionally eight steps on stationary ladder.
Push / pull 10# resistance frequently.
Lift from floor to 35 inches off floor up to 20 lbs. frequently; Lift from 7 inches to 44 inches off floor up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Throw from 12 inches off floor to 44 inches off the floor up to 40 lbs occasionally and 20 lbs frequently.
Carry up to 30 lbs. 100 feet occasionally.
Visual acuity, color vision, manual dexterity and eye hand coordination.
Grip and pinch up to 5 lbs of pressure occasionally to operate equipment.
Grip equipment with vibration occasionally.
Reach overhead frequently and lift up to 10 lbs overhead occasionally.
Work in special sterile areas such as Surgery or work in isolation rooms.
Essential Functions
Perform all floor care, carpet extraction, hard surface refinishing, burnishing, and upholstery cleaning utilizing proper process and procedures.
Perform preventative maintenance on all EVS equipment.
Perform safety checks on equipment.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
Record and maintain records of preventive and repairs on all equipment.
Perform Housekeepers duties as assigned. Communicate with Director keeping up to date on repairs and projects schedules.
Communicate purchase requests on all repairs for equipment keeping accurate inventory.
Maintain proper inventory of floor care supplies and equipment.
Perform other job related duties as assigned.
