Job Overview
GRCS is seeking a passionate and dedicated Christian Elementary School Teacher to join our educational team for the 2025-2026 school year. 2. Believes the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God and is the standard for faith and practice
3. Believes, supports and lives out the schools Statement of Faith
4. Will be a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions towards others
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Utilize effective behavior management strategies to maintain a positive classroom environment.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues to provide updates on student progress and classroom activities.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate student learning and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to design and improve curriculum based on best practices in education.
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports the social-emotional development of each student.
- Demonstrate a love of teaching, learning, and serving others.
- Demonstrate effective listening, teaching strategies, curricular knowledge, assessment abilities,
- Demonstrate a calm demeanor in stressful situations.
- Maintain confidentiality.
Experience
- Demonstrate success as a teacher and hold a current teaching license in the State of Iowa and/or willing to transfer license from another state.
- Proven experience working with students in an educational setting, preferably in a private school.
- Strong background in early childhood education principles, including curriculum development tailored for young learners.
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and staff, fostering positive relationships within the school community.
