What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Golf Professional position at Great River Golf Club?
Assistant Golf Professional will work directly with the Head Golf Professional in an effort to produce the best possible country club experience for the members and their guests. This will be done by learning and following the Great River Yardage Book. The Assistant will help carry out this mission by leading the Golf Staff through example and encouragement, in a high service environment.
The responsibilities included with this position are very unique. For the 2025 season the Golf Professional Assistant will be responsible for:
(1) The main area of focus will be to assist Head Golf Professional and Outside Service Manager with high quality services for our members and guests.
(2) The next main area of responsibility will be to assist in running members and outside tournaments. For 2025 the goal will be to learn the club’s tournament schedule, become proficient at Golf Genius, and learn the GRGC procedures for running events.
(3) The last area or responsibility for the 2025 position will be to learn the basics of the GRGC golf shop operation, the services provided, and the technology used for success.
Joining the GRGC Professional Staff will be learning/educational work experience. The Assistant will be encouraged to take on any responsibilities that he is interested in learning, or feels he is already experienced. The position can be as vast or minimal as you wish to make it. The only requirement is that the responsibilities you take are done in a precise planned manner with great attention to detail.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
