What you will do
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits for patient placement and services
- Obtain prior authorizations and pre-certifications from insurance companies for post acute care placement.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient insurance records and demographics
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to gather necessary documentation
- Communicate coverage details with the interdisciplinary team.
- Stay updated with insurance guidelines and policy changes
- Communication and collaboration to assist with patient durable medical equipment needs at discharge.
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree (AA) Healthcare Administration or related field Preferred
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Basic education Preferred
- 1-3 years Experience in insurance authorization or medical billing Preferred

Qualifications:
Scheduled Hours: Days, weekend and holiday rotation.
