This individual is a member of the Clinical Oversight Committee and is responsible for the oversight of clinical decision-making aspects of the program; The Specialty Pharmacy Senior Clinical Staff also has consultation with the providers within the pharmacy network on a regular basis. This requires a throughout assessment, review, and oversight ensuring compliance measures are obeyed.

What You Will Do
- Establishes goals for the pharmacy in conjunction with the Pharmacist-In-Charge, monitors progress towards these goals on a consistent basis, and report results to the pharmacy management team.
- Responsible for the oversight of clinical decision-making aspects of the program
- Consults with the providers within the pharmacy network on a regular basis
- Ensures that qualified clinicals are accountable to the organization for decisions affecting consumers
- Provides guidance to the clinical operational aspects of the pharmacy operations. Performs pharmacist duties as needed
- Develops and implements plans for the pharmacy growth initiatives
- Maintains ongoing liasions with all pharmacy staff members in order to obtain their cooperation toward the achievement of goals of the clinical pharmacy operations
- Ensures ongoing pharmacy compliance with all laws and regulations, ensures that the pharmacy meets or exceeds accreditation standards, and implements "best practices" in department activities
- Delegates authority as necessary to ensure that all responsibilities of the position and pharmacy operations are fulfilled in a timely and accurate manner
- Participates in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies
- Participates in the pharmacy Performance improvement program
- Reports any misconduct, suspicious or unethical activites to the Compliance Officier
- Oversees patient management activities including patient assessment, ongoing assessment, reconciliation, patient consultation, and coordination care with patient caregiver and other health care providers.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) In Pharmacy or equivalent required Required
- Doctoral Degree (Ph.D.) Of Pharmacy Pharm D/M.D. Preferred
- 5 years' licensed Pharmacist Required
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in clinical pharmacy program development, monitoring, and justication. Required
- 1-3 years Experience in clinical technology assessment and implementation. Required
- 10 years Of Pharmacy or health systems management. Preferred
- 1-3 years Experience in pharmacy education and program development and planning including accreditation of programs. Preferred
- 1-3 years Experience researching and deciphering Medicare and Medicaid regulations. Preferred
- 1-3 years Experience in auditing operational areas. Preferred
- 4-6 years Clinical Pharmacy Program Development Preferred
- 1-3 years Work in a health system Preferred
- 1-3 years Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry related software programs. (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams) Preferred
- Ability to exercise considerable judgement, maintain confidentiality, and act in a diplomatic manner.

- Pharmacist Iowa Board of Pharmacy (United States of America) Upon Hire Required
