Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Security System Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing and troubleshooting security systems. This role requires a strong understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems, as well as proficiency in security technologies.
Responsibilities
- Prepare for installations by reviewing installation orders, gathering equipment, supplies, and tools, and coordinating schedules with customers.
- Installing and servicing electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV, and intrusion alarms.
- Install equipment, run wiring, and program and calibrate equipment.
- Verify systems functioning properly by testing equipment, connections, and signals, and identifying and correcting problems.
- Maintain records by documenting installations and service performed.
- Troubleshoot systems, resolve issues for customers and end users.
- Protect organizations values by keeping information confidential.
- Enhance organizational reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment.
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment by following safe practices and keeping security information confidential.
Qualifications:
- One to three year of experience in security industry (Access control, CCTV)
- Previous experience leading installations at the site level preferred.
- Vendor Certification in low voltage systems is preferred.
- Valid Driver's License
- Should have the basic toolkit for the job
- Postsecondary training in electronics or equivalent is considered an asset.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
