Job Title: Human Resources Generalist
Reports To: President
Position Summary: Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the HR Department. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Responsible for continued maintenance and development of employee handbook. Must be a proactive leader and team player that establishes a positive working relationship across the organization, particularly with customer service staff.
Job Duties:
· HR responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, disciplining employees, performance evaluation preparation and coordination, and addressing complaints and resolving issues
· Conducts or acquires background checks and/or credit bureau checks
· Calculates and provides staff with annual benefits breakdown
· Reviews enrollment forms for accuracy and coordinates enrollment with third-party administrator
· Coordinates health, life and disability insurance enrollments and communicates with service providers concerning routine administration of programs
· Direct insurance negotiations, select insurance brokers or carriers and place insurance
· Continued review, development and implementation of Employee Handbook
· Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements
· Processes employee status changes
· Responsible for onboarding process, new hire orientation and employee recognition programs
· Researches pay grades and maintains a salary database
· Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resources program including but not limited to disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition and morale; and training and development
· May attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
· Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations. Recommends best practices, reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
· Assists in payroll processing
· Liaison with legal counsel regarding personnel matters
· Various report creation and data input
· Perform as a team member in allocating and coordinating the work flow
· Contribute to the fulfillment of department, market and company objectives and goals
· Comply with all department and company policies, procedures and regulations
· Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:
· High school diploma or GED equivalent required
· College degree preferred, business or human resources related degree is a plus
· Previous management experience preferred
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $29.00 per hour
