Responsibilities
- Assess and identify the treatment services individuals in service should receive.
- Develop comprehensive service plans that address the unique needs of each individual.
- Provide individual relapse prevention, harm reduction, and substance abuse counseling based on motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral responses to mental illness and substance abuse.
- Collaborate with community resources to connect individuals with necessary services.
Requirements
- Substance Use Disorder Professional Certification with the Department of Health.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associates degree in Social Services, counseling is preferred.
- Positive, solutions-oriented clinician.
- Therapist skilled at engaging and motivating youth to achieve participation in services.
