This is a safety sensitive position. Acts as a liaison between all personnel and patients. Acts as a liaison between the Health Center and all other facilities within the organization. Assumes responsibility for telephone and document management.
QUALIFICATIONS :
High School Graduate required.
Basic typing and computer skills and prior telephone experience.
Ability to communicate clearly.
Ability to work on more than one task at a time and flow from one task to another smoothly.
Ability to work through frequent interruptions and adaptable to change.
Medical experience preferred but not required.
Bilingual preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Maintains a professional demeanor.

Exhibits caring qualities consistent with the values of the community health center.
Responsible for answering and assigning incoming telephone calls and voicemails at the nurse’s station.
Acts as a liaison between patients and staff in maintaining smooth patient flow.
Follows Infection Control policies and procedures (i.e., isolate patients with skin rash, chicken pox, vomiting, coughing, etc.).
Exhibits awareness of cultural factors and shows competence in reducing barriers to the provisions of health care services.
Assumes responsibility for correctly entering all telephone encounters left as voicemails for the Nurse Line.
Responsible for managing all incoming and outgoing documents. Attaching documents, assigning appropriately, and faxing from both he fax inbox and the scan folder.
Assumes responsibility for returning all patient calls as appropriately set forth by GSP Health.
Addresses patient complaints as outlined in Patient Compliant Resolution.
Actively participates in agency-sponsored staff training events (safety instruction, evacuation rills, OSHA training, etc.).
Assures and maintains patient confidentiality in all areas.
Required to work at each satellite site as needed.
Straightens nurse’s station throughout the day.
Required alternation of standing, sitting, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the day.
Assists clinical staff with nurse visits and other clinical visits as directed by Practice Administrator.
Performs other duties incidental to the work described herein and or assigned by the Practice Administrator.
