General Description
The Residential Appraisal Review Coordinator is responsible for working with the Residential Lending department to facilitate the property appraisal process. The Coordinator tracks and maintains order records, maintains approved list of appraisers' credentials and ratings, and selects / orders appraisers. Stays up to date on new features and capabilities of Mercury software. Keeps manager informed with regard to his / her area of responsibility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Works directly with Residential Lending department to facilitate the property appraisal process. This includes contacting appraisers for quotes; quality control of order documentation; selection of appraisers; and mediating, communication regarding and maintenance of, orders through Mercury Network. This duty is performed about 50% of the time.
- Coordinates with manager and Senior Appraisal Review Coordinator in regards to implementation of new features and capabilities of Mercury software. Maximizes efficiency of internal workflows that utilize Mercury software. This duty is performed about 25% of the time.
- Reviews and maintains information in regards to appraiser credentials, ratings, and rankings. This duty is performed about 10% of the time.
- Scores lower risk residential real estate appraisal orders for completeness, quality, and compliance on USPAP guidelines by utilizing Mercury Network scoring systems. This duty is performed about 10% of the time.
- Acts as a backup in handling Commercial Lending appraisal requests. This includes sending out bids to an approved list of appraisers, reviewing bids received, and selecting and engaging appraises to ensure that appraisals can be completed within a timely manner. This duty is performed about 5% of the time.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance, punctuality and personal appearance. Reads, writes, and communicates in a clear and efficient manner via various types of correspondence, such as, in person, phone, email, letters, etc. Adheres to all company policies and procedures, as well as all applicable banking rules, regulations, and laws (including BSA / AML).
- Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.
