Job Summary :
As a Residential Home Building Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of projects from planning and budgeting to execution and completion. You will collaborate with developers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
- Oversee the performance of employees and subcontractors.
- Train and assist new employees as needed.
Duties / Responsibilities :
Maintain schedule for each building according to the start schedule in assigned neighborhood(s).Monitor progress against established schedules, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions.Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with building specifications and industry standards.Manage customer / client expectations and maintain positive relationships throughout the project lifecycle.Oversee and manage daily activities of subcontractors where required.Work with Land Development, Purchasing, Quality, and Production departments to resolve problems as needed.Oversee adherence to the safety program and OSHA guidelines.Responsible for the documentation and communication of various matters to the Construction Manager, including but not limited to : jobsite accidents, incidents of theft, concerns regarding design, instances of construction delays, and personnel issues.Required Skills / Abilities :
Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues, analyze potential solutions, and implement effective resolutions.Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written communication.Ability to understand project budgets, track expenses, and manage financial resources.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.Strong Knowledge of construction processes, methods, terminology, materials and building codes.Proficiency in project management software and tools.Education and Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field preferred.Minimum of three years of experience in related role(s) within Residential Construction.Physical Requirements :
Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of a jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.Prolonged periods of sitting / driving and standing.Must be able to lift thirty pounds at times.Note : This description describes the minimum, essential duties, responsibilities, skills, abilities, effort, and working conditions of the position.
