What you’ll be doing to make an impact at GSRs:
- Preparing a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
- Consistently complying with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, standards, kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.
- Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations.
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, etc.
- Preparing items for broiling, grilling, frying, and other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, etc.
- Following proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
- Handles, stores, and rotates products properly.
- Performing other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
What you’ll bring to the team:
- Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen.
- 2 years of restaurant cooking experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred with the ability to speak and understand English.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including but not limited to:
- Standing and walking during an entire shift, averaging to 8 hours per shift.
- Reaching, bending, stooping, lifting, shaking, stirring, pouring, and carrying supplies up to 50 pounds in weight.
- A team player’s mentality with good communication skills and the ability to stay positive under pressure.
