What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor position at Great Southern Wood Preserving - Lake Panasoffkee?
Essential Duties:
- Coordinates production, distribution, warehousing, and shipping of products per company policies, principles, and procedures established by the Plant Manager.
- Ensures employee safety and compliance with governing regulatory agencies, including OSHA and EPA.
- Oversees housekeeping of plant facilities and equipment during shift operations.
- Develop improvement plans to increase efficiency in the shipping operation
- Carry out disciplinary actions for employees.
- Perform inventory cycle counts
- Oversees and maintains high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness in the plant. during shift operations.
- Perform shipping functions as needed, including driving a forklift.
- Maintains positive employee relations and compliance with employment policies and regulations.
Education and/or Experience:
- Associate's degree with two (2) years related supervisory experience and/or training in the wood treating or lumber industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
