What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Operator - 1st Shift position at Great Southern Wood Preserving - Tyler Inc.?
Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc. producer of Yellawood brand Pressure-Treated Pine is seeking forklift operators in the departments of receiving, production, and shipping. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and full benefit package.
Essential Duties:
- Press pedals to move forward and backward as well as be able to navigate the warehouse.
- Understand and be able to use levers to lift, tilt, and shift products for stacking or movement.
There are multiple departments that utilize forklifts, some of the different roles are listed below:
- Unloading flatbed trailers and putting products into inventory locations.
- Loading for production
- Moving product into storage locations in the warehouse.
- Loading flatbed trucks for logistics to ship to customers.
Education and/or Experience:
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Must have previous forklift experience
- Lumber experience a plus!
