What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cheerleading Coach position at Great Sports, Inc.?
Our team is looking for a charismatic, joyful and knowledgeable Cheer Coach to lead and inspire a group of children ages 4 to 11. If you have experience working with youth, a passion for cheerleading, and a positive attitude, we'd love to hear from you!
Duties:
- Lead engaging and age-appropriate cheerleading practices for children ages 4 to 11 years old or kindergarten to 5th grade.
- Teach foundational cheer techniques, including cheers, chants, motions, jumps, and basic stunts.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment that promotes teamwork and confidence.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during practices.
- Demonstrate clear and effective communication with both children and parents.
- Encourage skill progression while making practices fun and engaging.
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching experience, preferably with children ages 4 to 11. Not required but preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cheerleading fundamentals and techniques.
- Ability to motivate and connect with young athletes in a fun and encouraging way.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to weekly practices on Mondays from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus but not mandatory or required.
