What We’re Looking For
GWB is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Machine Operator Program Specialist to join our growing team. This role specifically supports our manufacturing operations by creating precise cut lists, nesting parts, and optimizing material usage. This role requires expertise in AutoCAD, nesting software, and PRT file creation, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure efficient production processes. The ideal candidate will work closely with shop staff to deliver accurate programming solutions and minimize material waste.

Responsibilities
Generate cut lists for shop personnel based on production requirements
Create and optimize part drawings and nests using AutoCAD and nesting software
Develop PRT files using flange line software to ensure seamless fabrication
Utilize nesting software for plasma cutting to maximize material efficiency
Apply work orders for inventory tracking and ensure proper material allocation
Schedule material cutting operations to reduce waste while aligning with the manufacturing schedule
Collaborate with shop staff to resolve programming-related issues on machinery
Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accuracy in production planning
Follow all safety protocols including wearing PPE and required PPE at all times. Required PPE is defined as gloves, safety glasses, and steel toe boots Additional PPE, such as hard hats, flame-resistant clothing, hearing protection, face shields, respirators, etc, may be required depending on the specific tasks being performed or the work area.

Qualifications & Experience
The ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check is required
5 years of experience using AutoCAD and nesting software is preferred
Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with other CAD/CAM software
Strong analytical and mathematical skills to optimize cutting schedules
Ability to read and interpret blueprints for manufacturing processes
Basic computer skills with experience in work order and inventory management systems; Experience using NetSuite ERP software is a plus
Ability to learn machine operations is a plus
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills to work effectively with shop personnel
Must be able to walk, stand, use hands to handle tools, reach with arms, kneel, stoop, crouch, and talk and hear in noisy environments
Must be able to regularly lift and move objects weighing up to 51 lbs independently and occasionally lift and move objects up to 100lbs with the assistance of team lifts.
The work environment is primarily indoors, and will, at times, be exposed to natural weather elements such as heat, cold, sunlight, darkness, wind, rain, lightning, snow, and dust. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

$24.04 - $38.46 per hour depending on experience
