Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to move and position materials 

• Use an overhead crane to handle and transport heavy materials safely 

• Receive material deliveries and organize them in the shop or in the storage area

• Maintain and organize material storage area to ensure an efficient workflow

• Label and organize parts in detail to maintain workflow efficiency

• Inspect materials for defects and ensure quality control

• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized workspace

• Work collaboratively with the production team to meet daily targets

• Follow all safety protocols including wearing PPE and required PPE at all times. Required PPE is defined as gloves, safety glasses, and steel toe boots Additional PPE, such as hard hats, flame-resistant clothing, hearing protection, face shields, respirators, etc, may be required depending on the specific tasks being performed or the work area

• Duties, responsibilities, and reporting relationships may fluctuate or evolve in light of your skill, experience, and the company’s needs

Qualifications & Experience

• The ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check is required 

• 1 - 2 years in a steel fabrication and manufacturing environment

• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints to ensure cuts and parts match specifications

• Previous experience operating machinery is a plus, but not required - we provide training! 

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality 

• Basic math aptitude and willingness to learn

• Must be able to walk, stand, use hands to handle tools, reach with arms, kneel, stoop, crouch, and talk and hear in noisy environments

• Must be able to regularly lift and move objects weighing up to 51 lbs independently and occasionally lift and move objects up to 100lbs with the assistance of team lifts.

The work environment is primarily indoors, and will, at times, be exposed to natural weather elements such as heat, cold, sunlight, darkness, wind, rain, lightning, snow, and dust. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

• $16.00 - $24.04 per hour depending on experience
