Accounting Managers can expect any of the following responsibilities:
- Oversee daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and financials reporting.
- Participate in regular year end, bank and tax audits. .
- Perform reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
- Oversee and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Identify potential cash flow problems and financial irregularities.
- Review and analyze financial data, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Conduct regular staff performance evaluations and provide training, coaching and development opportunities for the accounting team.
- Provide regular updates to management regarding company finances.
- Develop and implement financial and operational controls and procedures to maintain the integrity of financial records and ensure compliance with accounting regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 5 years of Accounting principles and regulations plus AP/AR; Tax Audit; GAAP, internal controls, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
- 2 years of Managerial experience
- Strong leadership and management skills to effectively supervise and motivate a team.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- License/Certification: CPA or CMA
