Hog Island Yard and Surf Lodge Bar, a popular spot in Wellfleet, is looking for a Lead Bartender to join our fun and lively team on Cape Cod! If you thrive in a fun, fast-paced, tip oriented environment this may be a perfect opportunity for you.
Imagine managing a bustling team across our stylish indoor bar and our hip outdoor Brew Yard. This is the place where guests enjoy Mean Burgers mouthwatering burgers or a freshly shucked Wellfleet oysterswhile tapping their feet or dancing to fun and lively musical performances!
As our Lead Bartender, you’ll be responsible for:
* Overseeing all aspects of bar operations, including inventory, ordering, and cost control.
* Leading, training, and inspiring our bartending team to deliver exceptional service.
* Crafting creative and profitable cocktail menus with local ingredients.
* Ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
* Maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Contributing to the energetic atmosphere that makes Hog Island/Mean Burgers a local favorite.
* Managing bar staff scheduling for both indoor and outdoor service.
* Working closely with the kitchen and entertainment teams for seamless service.
* Maintaining the quality and freshness of our oyster offerings.
What you bring to the table:
* Experience as a Lead Bartender or Assistant Bar Manager in a high-volume environment.
* A passion for craft cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
* Excellent customer service skills and enthusiasm for positive guest interactions.
* Ability to thrive under pressure.
* Knowledge of inventory management and POS systems (Clover).
* A love for live music and that Cape Cod Apreś Beach vibe.
* ServSafe certification preferred, TIPS certified a must (we can set this up if needed).
