Position Summary : At Great Wolf, the Finance Director serves as a vital business partner dedicated to driving financial performance, ensuring robust internal controls, preventing losses, and providing insightful reporting and analytics.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Formulate comprehensive financial strategies by evaluating and predicting business trends; focusing on clear financial objectives, proactive communications, and identifying growth opportunities.
- Manage precise accounting practices, expense oversight, and an effective internal controls framework to minimize losses.
- Analyze and assess financial outcomes, reporting to regional and corporate management, while devising corrective action plans to enhance business results.
- Offer operational insights by applying external financial perspectives, translating data into actionable strategies.
- Facilitate informed decision-making by providing financial analyses and insights to support optimal solutions, considering all relevant viewpoints and facts.
- Build and maintain trust within department leadership, fostering accountability as they take ownership of their financial responsibilities and pursue effective action plans.
- Collaborate closely with the General Manager to define, assign, and delegate financial duties and authority within the operation.
- Create an environment conducive to financial success through coaching, training, and cooperative efforts with team members.
- Enhance operational efficiencies and optimize resource allocation, maximizing value in alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead the annual and long-term budget planning and capital investment strategies in partnership with the General Manager and lodge leadership team.
