This position is responsible for the overall data design, implementation and management of our data infrastructure, including standards for all GreatAmerica’s data ecosystems, while balancing those responsibilities against the business needs of the company. We are looking for an experienced architect with strengths in defining and implementing reliable, secure and highly available solutions in a hybrid cloud environment.
As a Data Architect, You Will
Microsoft SQL Server (including SSIS, SSAS, and Service Broker), Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Serverless, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure DevOps, Databricks, Python, Spark, DBT, Informatica Cloud, Microsoft Office Suite.

As a Data Architect, You Will
- Design and build data architectures, data models and data pipelines including but not limited to application databases, data warehouses and business intelligence solutions
- Strong relationships with business and technical users to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Establish, document, and follow-up on data standards and guidelines
- Ensure data quality, security and compliance with relevant regulations
- Maintain current data architecture and plan future improvements
- Provide guidance in performance improvements
- Evaluate and recommend new database technologies and solutions
- Mentor and guide team members and colleagues
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or related field of study.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience
- In-depth knowledge of cloud data architectures, transactional and analytical data solutions, data modeling and design, data integration tools, business intelligence concepts. Advanced SQL Certifications and/or ITIL Knowledge is a plus
