Position Summary
The Executive Assistant to the President provides high-level administrative support to the President of the school, ensuring smooth and efficient operation of the Office of the President. The Executive Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including managing the President’s schedule, handling communications, preparing reports and presentations, and assisting with special projects. This role requires a high level of professionalism, discretion, organizational skills, and a commitment to the mission and values of GAC.
Essential Functions
Student Support: Provide academic support and guidance to students in grades 6-12, offering one-on-one assistance, mentoring, and group facilitation to ensure understanding and mastery of curriculum.
Individualized Learning Plans: Work with students, teachers, and families to create personalized learning plans, setting academic goals, and strategies that lead to success
Collaboration: Collaborate with principals and teachers to identify students who may need additional support, monitor progress, and communicate regularly about student needs, progress, assignments, and testing.
Advocacy and Mentoring: Serve as an advocate for students, ensuring their voices are heard and their academic, social, and emotional needs are met.
Behavioral and Emotional Support: Help students develop emotional resilience, self-advocacy, and effective study habits to enhance overall academic success.
Progress Monitoring: Track students’ academic performance, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement, and coordinate interventions as needed.
Family Engagement: Engage with parents or guardians to share progress reports, provide resources, and foster a partnership for student success.
Data Analysis: Utilize student performance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and to inform interventions.
Professional Development: Attend workshops, training sessions, and meetings to stay current on best practices for supporting middle and high school students’ academic development.

Qualifications
- Must have a growing and mature personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Must align with the beliefs, values, and mission of GAC
- Strong understanding of Christian education and commitment to the values and mission of the school
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Minimum of five years experience working with students in grades 6-12, preferably in academic support or advisory capacity
- Understanding of psychological evaluations
- Ability to build relationships with students, families, faculty, and staff
- Knowledge of academic interventions, instructional strategies, and differentiated learning
- Empathy and a passion for supporting student success
- Uncompromising commitment to confidentiality
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
- Highly collaborative and interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills
- Great attention to detail
- High degree of professionalism and discretion, especially when handling sensitive information
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to resolve complex changes and challenges
- Work well under pressure using good judgment
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with the flexibility to shift priorities
- Full-time, 10-month position, with occasional evening or weekend commitments for family meetings or workshops
- May involve occasional travel for school-related activities or professional development
- Successful background, drug and alcohol screening, and reference checks
